Hello everybody! A friend just recently told me about the new msn live messenger and it sounds really great. For example, one of the features is that you can add other people's addresses that don't use hotmail. I was just curious as to know if windows live messenger works well with jaws 7.0? I hope it does.
Yours truly,
Lady Mercury
I tried it; I guess it worked okay. The issues I had with it weren't related to Jaws at all. I didn't like the fact that (at least at the time), it didn't work with Messenger Plus.
Oops, scratch that last reply. Someone just told me it does work with Plus now. So that shouldn't be a problem anymore.
I happen to have windows live on my system and have discovered that all is well, bjut the only problem is that it does not read how many people are signed in or how many people are mobal or off line. If some one coul;d help me saulve this onwe thanks.
Matthew
Hello,
I like using the live version. It does read how many people are online line, you have to listen for it though. at the top of the list it says how many people are online outline button.
Yes I know but It does not read it after I have put my focuis on it.
I like Windows Live Messenger, but I recently went back to msn 7.5. For some reason, I lost all my msn sounds with windows live messenger. I might try to re-install it, and see what happens.
I'm not a huge fan of Windows Live messenger for the simple fact that I can't get rid of the search tab. It's neat that you can send messages to contacts who are offline (or appear to be), but there are just too many tabs. Sire, you can remove all of them (don't quote me on this), except the search tab. I'm sure to a person with more vition than I, this box is appealing, but it's a pain to get around using a screen reader such as JAWS.
I'm using Live Messenger now, because my MSN 7.5 totally lost its mind and wouldn't work. It's okay, but it won't read how many contacts are on or offline. And the quick search thing annoys me.
Yes that was the same problem I had.
